When I think of big bold beer, I think of Midnight Sun Brewing Company! It is a pleasure to pull one of these Arctic Devil Barley Wine bottles out of my cellar, and pop open a 13 percent beer that has mellowed over a couple of years. This painting is of a 2012 Arctic Devil, which is prime for drinking. I have two others that I will save for a couple more years, or for a special occasion. Believe me, I am not Dr. Fermento, the self proclaimed über beer geek in Alaska, stashing bottle after bottle of high end brew underneath his house in case of a second prohibition. I will be purchasing another three bottles of Arctic Devil this year; one to sample this year, one for next year, and one that I will label “Do not drink until 2019.” Drink big! Drink boldly! Drink Arctic Devil Barley Wine!
