Year of Beer Paintings – Day 60

The daily Year of Beer painting is of Fat Tire Amber from New Belgium Brewing Co.  Before mountain bikes, there were beach cruisers, and you could ride a beach cruiser down any mountain trail if you were adventurous enough.  You just had to know how to use the brakes and how to handle the sheer momentum the steel bike produced.  Also, the fenders gather mud quickly, but all of this is totally manageable in decent weather conditions.

This is a perfect beer to drink after a late night bicycle ride, or during the ride as long as you limit your consumption.  Amber style beer is a favorite to Alaskans and New Belgium Brewing just recently started distributing up here.

To Fat Tire!  The beer that explains mountain biking history right on the label!

The original painting sold.  You can purchase a limited-edition print at my Etsy Shop.
