Year of Beer Paintings – Day 204

The featured beer painting of the day is of 360 IPA by Sly Fox Brewing Company. The 360 can is awesome! The entire top lid of the can comes off. There is only one other brewery I know of that has the same lid — King Street Brewing Company in Anchorage, Alaska! The 360 can is great because it allows you to smell the beer.  Now you don’t need to pour your beer into a pint glass in order to get the full aroma! I was considering putting a skateboarder behind this painting, but then realized this beer is about the can, not the name. So I depicted the can showing its 360 ability in the background of the painting.

This IPA was good, but I did notice a little malty funkiness, which I believe to be English ale yeast. But maybe it’s Scottish ale yeast. Cool beer, cool can, and I wish I had more than one! But I will just consume some King Street IPA, since it’s local to Alaska and I buy it frequently as a pack beer. The can lid is so cool, everyone wants to check it out. I’m sure the 360 has the same appeal wherever you take it! Thanks, Rich, for including it in the most recent shipment! I’m glad the King Street can I sent in return was up to snuff!

Cheers to innovations and gimmicks! First it was the widget nitro can for stout, now the 360 can for IPA. I wonder what they will come up with for the perfect Hefe can.

You can purchase this painting, or a limited-edition print at my Etsy shop.
