Welcome to the blog of Real Art Is Better! We are Scott Clendaniel and Maria Benner living in Anchorage, Alaska. Scott is an oil painter, and Maria is the Business & Marketing Manager for the art business. Here we blog about Scott’s new oil paintings, the ins-and-outs of running an art business, our life in Alaska, and our adventures. You may have noticed that Scott paints a lot of beer paintings. He paints other things too, like Alaska’s epic scenery, but beer paintings seem to be his niche. After completing the 99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall project in 2011, he didn’t want to stop painting beer paintings, so in 2014 he painted a different beer every day. The project was called the Year of Beer Paintings.
